I currently hold a position as Postdoctoral Scientific Collaborator at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute as part of the Disease Modelling Unit. In my work, I am passionate about combining my background in evolutionary biology, demography, population genetics, and data science with my drive to improve public health to contribute to a better understanding and navigation of the epidemiological challenges of our rapidly changing world.
At the moment, my research focuses on the modelling the drivers of human-mediated dog movement patterns and their implications for disease transmission. In previous and ongoing work, I examined the role of lifestyle transitions on the health and wellbeing of hunter-gatherer populations in Nepal and the Republic of Congo, as well as the occurrence and patterns of inbreeding in such societies.
Feel free to get in touch for any questions or potential collaborations.
